Nancy Van De Ven Clinches Open Dutch Championship Womens Title

Nancy van de Ven of Ghidinelli Racing clinched the Open Dutch Championship Womens motocross title at Westerbork. Van de Ven won the only heat of the event, and secured enough points to claim the title.

Heavy overnight rain at Westerbork, turning the track into a slushy mess. Nancy conquered the challenge and qualified in pole position. A good start was important, and Nancy answered the call. She shot into the lead, and that was the job half done. “I rode in front for the whole race, but it was a bit tricky because the track was so wet and slippery, she said. “I was getting ready for the second heat when the announcement came that it had been cancelled, which meant that I had clinched the title. ”

Nancy will now be preparing for the final round of the WMX motocross world championship series, scheduled for Arco di Trento in Italy. Nancy has a four point lead over Courtney Duncan in the series.
