Nancy van de Ven has won the opening moto of the Women World Championship in Valkenswaard. Courtney Duncan was leading in the first half of the race but made a crash and dropped back several positions. Van de Ven took over the lead and won the race with a 16 second lead over Kiara Fontanesi.
Fontanesi crashed during the race but in the final lap she managed to pass Lancelot and finished in second position. Fontanesi held on for third position and Courtney Duncan fought her way back up to fourth position.
